Project overview
Edugauge is a web-based assessment platform designed to evaluate students’ digital literacy and readiness to use the university’s Learning Management System (LMS), such as eFundi. The system helps identify gaps between students’ current digital skills and the competencies required to participate effectively in online learning environments. Students complete interactive assessments, including a Digital Literacy Test and an eFundi Readiness Test. Based on their results, the system provides automated scoring, personalized feedback, and recommended learning resources to help improve their digital skills. Students can also monitor their progress through a personal gradebook. Lecturers and administrators use the platform’s analytics dashboards to track overall student performance, identify at-risk students, and upload learning resources to support digital skill development. Built using React, Node.js, and Azure SQL on Microsoft Azure, Edugauge enables universities to support early intervention and ensure students are better prepared for digital learning environments.
