Research summary

Project overview

The Internship and Job Placement Hub is a centralized career services platform designed for North-West University students and graduates to connect with internship and job opportunities. The system serves as a bridge between academic training and professional industry, helping students transition into the workforce more efficiently. Students and alumni can create professional profiles, upload CVs, search job listings, and apply directly through the portal. Employers can post internships, graduate programs, and job vacancies while searching the platform for candidates with specific skills or qualifications. The platform also incorporates intelligent filtering and algorithm-based matching to calculate compatibility between candidates and job requirements. By combining opportunity listings, career development resources, and employer partnerships in one system, the Hub aims to increase graduate employability, improve placement rates, and strengthen connections between NWU and industry partners.
